All calculators are completely free, require no sign-up, and work on any device. Bookmark CalcHub as your go-to calculation tool — updated regularly with new calculators.

Our Calculation Methodology

All financial calculators on mycalchub.ca follow Canadian banking and regulatory standards. Our mortgage calculator uses the semi-annual compounding method as required by the Interest Act of Canada — meaning interest is compounded twice per year, not monthly as in the US. This produces more accurate results that match the quotes you receive from Canadian banks and mortgage brokers. Tax calculations use the most recently published CRA federal and provincial brackets, including accurate CPP and EI deduction rates for the current year.

Our health calculators follow WHO and medically recognized standards. The calorie calculator uses the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, which is considered the most accurate BMR formula by registered dietitians. BMI is calculated using the standard WHO formula and categorized according to Health Canada guidelines. Body fat percentage uses the US Navy method, accurate to within 3-4% of clinical DEXA scan measurements. The BAC calculator uses the scientifically validated Widmark Formula adjusted for Canadian legal thresholds.

All calculations are performed 100% locally in your browser. Your inputs — whether salary, mortgage amount, health data, or any other personal information — are never transmitted to our servers. We have no database of user calculations. This architecture means mycalchub.ca is fully private by design, not just by policy. You can verify this by using the site with your internet connection turned off — every calculator will still work perfectly.
